Youth
Entrepreneur Protege Program (YEPP)
A cooperative effort between corporations, business
owners and leaders who are committed to
providing opportunities for youth ages 12-17.
Founded by Jerome Edmondson, YEPP is a nonprofit
organization supported by parents, corporate
sponsors, community leaders and donations raised
from YEPP fund development activities. The program
holds monthly symposiums that
concentrate on one of its five programmatic
initiatives: spiritual growth, education, economics,
social character and political awareness.
YEPP Vision - Develop youth to have a
lasting commitment to community revitalization
by empowering and assisting young people to
maximize their full potential and excel in the
areas of spiritual growth, education, economics,
social character and political awareness.
YEPP Mission - Create programs and training
solutions that connect key influences with youth
from urban communities, resulting in resources
for
youth-based initiatives that promote achievement,
personal success and measurable outcomes.
YEPP SYMPOSIUM OBJECTIVES:
Spiritual Growth - To increase knowledge
of spiritual values and provide insight on how
to accurately apply biblical principles to the
academic,
professional and social areas of life. Activities
include:
Panel Discussions that show the importance
of establishing a relationship with God
Reading the Word of God
Applying the Word of God leadership through
a series of classes designed to prepare future
entrepreneurs for businesses success.
Training and activities include:
Inner City School Outreach
Computer Training
Financial Aid Workshops
Web-Based Entrepreneur Training
Economics - To instill in youth the importance
of budgeting, saving and implementing a successful
plan for prosperity. Our economics training
exposes
youth to investment options (i.e. stock market,
money market, real estate and entrepreneurship)

Visits to Financial Institutions
Stock Market Analysis
Young Entrepreneur Presentations
Social Character - To build confidence and
social character through activity that provides
instruction in proper etiquette, communication
skills
development, cultural awareness and community
involvement. Activities include:
Career Development Simulations
Community Service and Volunteerism
Cultural Presentations
Etiquette Training
Speech Competitions
Political Awareness - To increase the interest
level in the political process by expanding
the knowledge of political offices, the role
of elected officials,
platforms and current events. Activities include:
Mock Debates
Round Table Discussions
Voter Registration Drives
State Capital Visits
